She/Her

Keri moved to Portland from New York City sixteen years ago with the goal of landing a photography job and buying a house in her first two years. Goals accomplished - once she sets her mind to something, she sees it through to successful completion. As she got to know Portland’s array of unique neighborhoods and variety of architectural and design styles, personality, and uber-creative home-owners she became a bit obsessed and would tour open houses just to see what they looked like on the inside. She came to realize that her twenty-plus years in marketing combined with her Portland house obsession, love of helping others achieve their goals, and entrepreneurial drive aligned perfectly with a move to a real estate career.

Her ideal adventure for an urban Portland day: Keri picks up bagels first thing from Ben & Esther’s on Sandy then grabs her camera (her constant companion for a daily photo project and a long-term project on the unique stories of individual Portland houses) and heads out with her partner and high-energy pup to Forest Park. With Ozzie now napping at home, she and Mike head downtown to Providence Park and up into the Timbers Army section to scream themselves hoarse for their boys in green and gold. Then home to their house at the base of Rocky Butte to spend the evening in the backyard with a few friends, listening to music and discussing everything from politics to pop culture to food, trying out a few new beers from Belmont station and grilling up something tasty while her now re-charged dog chases invisible creatures from one end of the yard to the other at 90mph.

Her superpower: The ability to actively listen and ask the right questions to help friends and clients solve problems - coupled with a hidden competitive nature that comes bubbling to the surface during sporting events, board games and bidding wars. Also - a very loud, contagious laugh that can bring levity to any stressful situation!

Superpower she wishes she had: Flying electric car to hop over Portland traffic. Her bike has been her primary mode of transportation for most of her time in Portland and she’s still adjusting to dealing with car traffic!

Favorite moment/s in real estate: Helping clients find their home. The moment Keri walked into her would-be home in 2015, she simply KNEW. And her agent expertly guided her through the process to make sure it happened. What a wonderful feeling it is to help someone else experience that magic moment, the gateway to so many more big and little moments after. She also loves meeting new people, connecting people together and problem solving - whether it’s knowing the ideal mortgage broker for a first-time buyer or a self-employed filmmaker or having just the right landscaper to help transform a seller’s yard.

Favorite Portland neighborhood, and why?
Keri is partial to her own neighborhood of Madison South - it’s a bit of a hidden gem if there is such a thing in Portland anymore. There’s a ton of green, wooded space and even some walking trails in the neighborhood - plus, it offers one of the best views in the city at Joseph Hill Wood Park atop Rocky Butte. There are also a number of great local businesses (Rocky Butte Coffee, La Mestiza, Lanvin Bakery, Mekong Bistro, etc.) and a monthly farmer’s market in the spring, summer and fall.
