Zidell Yards: A New Portland Neighborhood

As noted in this article, the Zidell family is contemplating future plans to develop 30 acres of land that stretch between the OHSU Tram to the Ross Island Bridge. The Zidell family is mostly known for their barge-making facility that can be viewed just north of OHSU’s March Wellness Center. The barge facility shall remain in operation, but talks of integrating the river, the naturalscape, and the architecture the Ross Island Bridge with urban housing and retail could become a reality in the next decade.
