We’re heading to into the Alphabet District this week to check out a super charming condo that literally couldn’t be in a better location. Situated right on the corner of NW Glisan and NW 22nd Avenue, it’s a walker’s paradise. Bars, restaurants, shopping, grocery stores, even a hospital are all just steps away.

Entering the building it’s just a quick hop up one set of stairs to get to the unit. Just inside the unit door there is a giant walk-in closet (with some cool vintage built-ins) and plenty of storage for winter coats, the vacuum, shoes, whatever. Next up you pass the bathroom, which was remodeled in 2010 and updated with new plumbing in 2016.

From the bathroom I’m immediately drawn into the large living room. There is space to entertain and fit pretty much any furniture you could want.  The large windows let in lots of natural light and the room is boasting character with the vintage light fixture, wood floors, and picture rail molding along the ceiling.

I continue my tour into the dining room, which isn’t huge, but is cute and fits a small table and chairs. The kitchen is bright and stylish with original cabinetry and a glass-door display case. Again, this space isn’t huge, but it’s honestly the perfect size for a single person or couple.

The final bit of the tour takes me to the bedroom, which is one of the main selling points of this unit. For only being 781 square feet you’d expect a pretty cramped bedroom, but that is not the case here. You’ve got room for a king bed and a dresser and nightstands, and the best part: TWO large closets.

“For a historic condo it’s hard to find that much storage,” Sarah Burns, the listing agent, told me. She also explained that when the building was converted to condos, this was the very first unit that sold because its ease of location in the building and all that storage. Oh, and it’s got its own off-street parking spot! Now that’s a perk.

My favorite part? I think for this one I’d have to say the overall layout and size. I’ve seen a lot of these NW vintage condos and this one really lives large. The amount of storage here is better than any I’ve seen, and this location is so good – close enough to all the action, but not on the busiest road. Want to see it for yourself? Give me a call – I’d love to go back!
